Lagerbier Hell
Lagerbier Hell
At Rorschach, we are an experimental brewery, always pushing the boundaries of flavor, sometimes at the expense of traditional style parameters. For years, I’ve wanted to brew a series of Bavarian beers, but I wanted to do it right. Our Helles lager, the first in this series, is crafted in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the Bavarian beer purity law. We use filtered Toronto tap water, German pilsner malt from Heidelberg, and Hersbrucker hops grown in the Hallertau region of Bavaria. To honor our namesake, we added a touch of Switzerland—a lager yeast strain from the Swiss Alps.
Fermented cool, conditioned cold for more than six weeks, and naturally carbonated, we are thrilled to finally release our Lagerbier Hell. For me, it’s more than just a beer; it’s a return to my roots and a tribute to the journey that led me here.
Prost und alles Gute!
